The largest London Spaces so far is now open in Victoria. With room for 1,500 workstations over seven floors, the 80,000sq ft behemoth boasts a handy location on Wilton Road in between the headquarters of multinational corporations and government departments. It’s the latest in an exciting list of developments, which includes new centres in Angel Islington and Canary Wharf scheduled to open next, and which brings the London tally to 19.

Everything you need in one place

Spaces UK CEO Richard Morris is a firm believer in the power of coworking to foster an entrepreneurial spirit: “We are excited to announce the opening of Spaces Victoria and our continued expansion across London, and we look forward to introducing even more people to the benefits of a flexible and creative working environment with community and networking at its core,” he says. Despite the design-driven aspect of the Spaces brand, the approach is as much about the people in the building as the building itself: “It’s an environment that enables members to share ideas and build partnerships through a programme of business and leisure events,” he adds.

From hot-desking to shared offices, the Victoria location offers everything you need from a coworking space – meeting rooms, private offices and even the option of a virtual office to handle mail and telephone calls are all part of the mix. Designed to spur collaboration, high ceilings bestow a sense of freedom and large communal areas actively encourage networking. Blessed with a community of can-do individuals, the possibilities are almost limitless.

International setting in Victoria

“Demand for flexible office space is on the rise as businesses are beginning to understand the benefits associated with this progressive way of working,” says Morris. Doing away with the headaches associated with renting traditional office space, like cleaning and maintenance, it’s not hard to see why. Added to which, when fixed-office space in megacities like the UK capital commands such high fees, it makes sense to only pay for what you use. “Space is at a premium in London and this location continues to attract new businesses and entrepreneurs from across the world,” Morris confirms.

With Victoria Station on the doorstep and an almost fully renovated Underground beneath it, transport connections are easy. Local attractions, from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, are of the internationally renowned variety, and the options for dining and drinking are a cosmopolitan pick of the world’s best. In short, it’s a dynamic area with a dynamic mindset, making it an ideal location for the latest Spaces. As Morris says: “People are recognising that they are far more productive and successful in a dynamic working environment, while businesses are waking up to the financial and strategic benefits. Spaces is helping to supply this demand and drive a workspace revolution across the capital and the country.”
