Being Baltic: How design matters in Vilnius

Anywhere with a dynamic design culture is firmly on Spaces’ radar. We feel an affinity with a nation that puts innovative design at the heart of everything. At Spaces, we understand how it feeds into the productivity, creativity and positive mindset of those who take it in – and just generally makes the world a better place.

Where old meets new

So, we’re absolutely thrilled to be opening our first Spaces in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius – which is making waves in the design realm right now. We’ve been keeping an eye on what’s going on in Vilnius for some time. And we’re really feeling the Baltic way of styling interiors – a healthy dose of minimalism, a penchant for natural materials, a palette of earthy hues and sharp whites. The visuals are the stufof coffee table book photography… When it comes to architecture, Vilnius has long-been lauded for its Unesco-listed centre – the largest mediaeval town in central and eastern Europe, a charming maze of cobbled streets and terracotta rooftops. But a groundbreaking new neighbour has moved in (no, not us!), the MO Modern Art Museum. It’s the country’s first contemporary art museum, designed by superstar architect Daniel Libeskind. Open since the end of last year, it sits in the centre of the old town, a white cubic alien disrupting its surroundings and attracting attention.

Seek out Spaces

As for Spaces’ new Vilnius location, we’re also in the heart of the capital. Spaces Gedimino is named after its excellent location along Gedimino Avenue, the main artery of the city, lined with Neoclassical façades. From our hot new workspace, tenants can stroll to the manicured lawns of Lukiškių aikštė City Park for a break, take in nearby cultural attractions, or find somewhere for a post-work beer (maybe one of the city’s many cellar bars).

In line with Vilnius’s design-centric lifestyle, Spaces Gedimino sets a new standard in sleekness. Its rooftop terrace offers stunning views across the capital as tenants mingle while, back inside, floor-to-ceiling windows flood the contemporary co-working space with natural light. Ultra-fast WiFi, secure underground parking and lovely staff add to the general awesomeness of this cutting-edge place to run a business.

With all this and more, we challenge anyone not to become their most productive, inspired self within the walls of Spaces’ first Lithuanian location – developed for design fanatics like us. Come and visit the first Spaces in Lithuania, and experience how design can make a difference to your productivity.
