Austria’s Spaces Orbi Tower delighted to be the runner-up for CBRE’s Office of the Year Award 2018.

According to this year’s Global Workspace Survey by IWG, more than 50% of Austria’s workforce has grown accustomed to flexible working. Both startups and the employers of national SMEs and international corporations alike have recognized the numerous benefits of flexible workplace strategies. As a result, they are increasingly trying to find attractive office solutions. Spaces, with its recently opened location in Vienna, Spaces Orbi Tower, is offering such innovative office solutions with a contemporary European design.  As an added benefit, their wide variety of resources allows the Viennese workforce to thrive.

Austria’s Office of the year award

The Office of the Year Award, launched in Austria in 2015 by leading national and international real estate specialist CBRE, is now one of the most prestigious and recognised awards in the working world. It examined Austria’s best offices in five categories. For this year’s edition, a total of 62 companies and coworking spaces competed for the CBRE Office of the Year Award. Between July and November, all applications were evaluated by an 8-member jury of experts and ranked by the following six criteria:

• design & ergonomics
• flexibility & employee friendliness
• wellness & health
• innovation & technology
• inspiration & creativity
• corporate identity & representation

To get a better and more authentic picture, the expert jury of architects and project managers also visited the participating offices.

The runner-up (for now)

Only a few months after Spaces’ first opening in Austria, Spaces attracted lots of media and customer interest. By doing so, it convinced the jury to award it with the second place in the category Best Coworking Spaces. This March, the award winners were honoured at the Novomatic Forum in Vienna’s city centre.

Three new Spaces at top locations in Vienna

Following the opening of our first location at the Orbi Tower in June 2018, you can now look forward to three new Spaces in Vienna, opening later this year. In addition to the already announced opening at The Icon near Vienna Central Station, we will also open the doors of Spaces Square One in the 19th Viennese district, and our new eye-catching location, Spaces Haus am Schottentor.
For the latter,  our Members can expect a very special working atmosphere in the scheduled expansion of Haus am Schottentor, originally designed in 1912. This monumental building will provide a new Austrian flagship location, with 9000 square metres of designer offices.
