TedXAmsterdam: The Spring Edition Speakers

Spring has officially sprung and so has our excitement ahead of TedxAmsterdam x Spaces: The Spring Edition.  The pre-summer limbo can sometimes leave us a little stumped for motivation and ideas so we’ve secured an eclectic range of speakers to fuel your imagination and get you ready for summer.

Ariah Lester

Ariah Lester has a background of dancing and choreography. With an evident passion for experimentation and exploration of the visual field, his experience now delves into the realms of music. Defying cultural norms and expressing his passion just how he wants, Ariah Lester will showcase his diverse vocal range, exhibiting sensual and moving tones underpinned by a unique range of electro synths and vibrant beats.

Thijs van Vuure

A creative mastermind who is driven by raw biological form. It’s not often that you come across artists who’s work is inspired and driven by science. We often see the two concepts distinct. Thijs van Vuure however will exhibit how he can do both.  Installations, musical scores and part of the The Walden Collective, there are very few stones left unturned with Thijs’ work.

Fons Trompenaars

Prof. & Dr. Trompenaars has been delivering motivational speeches for a while now and gained the solid recognition as one of the world’s most influential living management thinkers.  Having founded Trompenaars Hampden-Turner (THT), he has since turned to writing and also consulting. His talk will be insightful for managing dilemmas in the digital age, with a focus on how to intertwine existing core methods before the digital age, with the new, savvy ideas. Allowing us to synergize older traditional business concepts with the new worlds of IT.

Astrid Sonneveld

Our fourth and final speaker is winner of the 2017 TEDxAmsterdam award, so clearly an inspiration to us all. Astrid Sonneveld will be here to reveal the secrets behind the shipping containers we often turn a blind eye to and don’t think much about. Shipping vessels carry up to 90% of our goods. Powering through our oceans and racking up space in dockyards ready to replenish a whole host of goods. What many of us assume to be a straightforward and economic process is actually host to a number of dark secrets. Astrid will show us how her winning idea; GoodShipping is something definitely worth doing. A narrative about how to shape and impact our future by turning the sea-blind into happy adopters of a tangible solution, ready to be used here and now.

If you want to gain a worthy amount of motivation from a number of different ideas and perspectives in order to launch you and your business goals into summer, then come along to The Spring Edition of  TedxAmsterdam x Spaces!
