Speakers

Peter Gabriëls // The Dutch Green Building Council

The Dutch Green Building Council, or the DGBC, is a non-for profit organisation which aims to make our living environment more sustainable. As the building and real estate sector is complex with an abundance of different stakeholders and interests, this talk will highlight the DGBC’s role, products and programs such as health, circularity and CO2 reduction.

Antoine Heideveld // Het Groene Brein

The Green Minds, or Het Groene Brein,  is an NPO aiming to bring a new economy to life. One that positively impacts the environment, nature, social aspects and offers a sustainable economy altogether. They support companies by bringing in knowledge, crafted through science. Their network consists of 140 scientists from all kinds of disciplines, universities and universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. In this talk, they will highlight their role in bringing about a new, circular, economy.

Chris Bruijnes // Kennisinstituut Duurzaam Verpakken

The Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging, or the KIDV, was founded to support the packaging industry with their ambition to bring sustainable packaging to the market.  In the Netherlands, a lot of waste is being recycled e.g. glass, paper, wood and metal, but still there’s more that can be done to change opinions on the use of plastics and single-use packaging. Presenting their design for recycling and circularity, Chris Bruijnes of the KIDV will give an overview on this complex field of sustainable packaging and how it can contribute to make the world a better place.
