Lifehacking: Getting Things Done

How can you get the most of out of your day, be your most productive self and the most efficient? Give yourself piece of mind and try to organise yourself. One of the most famous books that help you get things done, is actually called Getting Things Done.  The author David Allen is a very sought after speaker for events because he knows what he’s talking about.

The five principles.

There are five simple steps that when applied bring order to chaos and provide you the space and structure to be more creative, strategic, and focused.

Capture

Collect the things that are on your mind. Write them down in a list, things can be as varied as possible, all your projects, plans and dreams

Clarify.

Take all the items that you’ve captured and clarify them. Can you set them to an action? No? Then, either get rid of them or put them on a separate list. All other items, write the action that needs to be taken to realise it. Can it be done in two minutes? Do it now. Can it be delegated? Delegate.

Organise.

Put all your actions in the right category. Organise your list in separate action-lists.

Reflect.

Make sure that you do a weekly review of your actions so they stay current.

Engage.

Just simply do.

The event

Want to hear more about these steps and hear the man behind the theory himself? Together with Are You Swedish? Cool Department Store we have invited David Allen to speak at Spaces Vijzelstraat.
