Fine design can be hard to find. Especially with respect to consistency, detail and functionality. Each of our locations is crafted with taste, passion and subtleties; playing on a mixture of muted and vibrant colours, all delivered by the talent of Sevil Peach.

Who is she?

Acknowledged to be a lady of power in architecture and winner of The Lifetime Achievement Award from Frame 2018, Peach is evidently a creative mind to be reckoned with, and one of whom we’re more than a little proud to have on board designing our Dutch locations. Born in Turkey, Sevil travelled over to the UK to study Architecture and Design at The University of Brighton and soon after formed her London based studio, SevilPeach , with Gary Turnball.

Where has their work taken them?

The pair have worked on numerous exciting projects, not limited to one industry. Providing delights to the eye for companies like Deloitte, Microsoft and also gracing the fit of Spaces. Their attention to detail, and accredited knowledge of spacial design has led them to an ongoing consultancy to Vitra on the creation of new office spaces as well as furniture.

Words of Wisdom

In an interview with Vitra, Sevil outlined the  common goals of  many design studios, but highlighted that the all design projects needs to be driven by those aspirations. Even back in 2009 she acknowledged the duty for office fits to be flexible should a company’s strategy or focus change. Peach’s preferences when working at home are based surrounding what is most comfortable at any given time; the kitchen table, the sofa, or maybe even a bed. The design utilised in Spaces mirrors this in an attempt to boost productivity and create a sense of ‘home from home’. Feast your eyes on SevilPeach’s portfolio. Sevil has been responsible for the design of our Dutch locations, however the design of our new location on the Keizergracht will be in new hands. Check it out here.

“When I looked at the offices being designed…they were not places I ever wanted to be in or ever wanted to design. I didn’t know the solution for what an office should be.”

Productive design should focus on form and functionality but with your company’s values and motives reflected in its detail. If you’re wondering why design matters so much then click here for more of an insight.
